If you are seriously interested in the Musto Skiff, experienced and the weather is kind- there is always a go on a Musto Skiff. sershn@aol.com

Hugh - why did you go for the Musto Skiff in preference to the RS700?

It is a far more superior design and build quality (Everyone loves Ovington)- demonstrated in the insurance costs compared to the 700, bags of performance too and surprisingly simple. Also there is a far greater drive behind the Musto Skiff Class with ex olympians sailing them and Victor Botas pushing them as a possible Olympic Class. There is even a growing foreign contingent and the skiff has just been made ISAF recognised. Much harder to sail to, as the hull weighs about as much as my dog- which in the long run means i wont get bored! Overall though the swinging factor was (as the 700 is dirt cheap compared) is the national and international circuit- a world championship in Garda is just perfect!!

Plus, (i just love talking about my boat!!), at the tide ride each year the 700s and mps race head to head and despite the 700 apparently being quicker on paper, the mps always win, demonstrating the quality of the fleet.

If you are looking to have a go on a Asymmetric the rs 400 is available.

Hello Phil.

Jane is doing the teas for the first two wednesday evening races this year (first one 25th April) so I'll be looking for a crew if you fancy a go in the Laser 2000.

We'd like a go please!

In return we can offer B14 trips off the Ligurian coast - but you have to pay your own air fares!

Excellent blog-site Hugh.

Ciao a tutti di Castle Cove!
